by aminomancer, 4 years agofinally a console for mobile firefox, I have been hoping to convert my extensions for mobile but had no idea how to get started, very little documentation on webextensions in the android version to be found. so far this works perfectly, it's not quite a 1:1 substitute for the devtools in the desktop client but in some ways the console actually works better and the snippets tab is nice.
now i just wish someone could figure out how to load arbitrary javascript at the UI level so i could add in some of the missing features in the mobile version that seem like they should be easy to make happen. firefox mobile really needs its own autoconfig.js or userchrome.js type of thing. like a legacy extension system

- Rated 4 out of 5by sonofevil, 2 months agoIncredible Addon, but when I try to use it on Facebook, all the button icons of dev tools are broken, which makes it hard to use.

I know that there are not many of us who develop or program with cell phones, but today with Termux, nginx and your add-ons it is very easy to do it.
PLEASE incorporate a CSS-GRID viewer!!!! (or also tell it to those at Eruda XD)
Congratulations and for more apps of this style! - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 16082708, 3 months agoWorks well to show you the elements but doesn't allow active editing in my case making this useless

Yeah it has some glitches and lacks some of the desktop console and inspect element functionality, but it does a decent job getting the sources which is the reason why I installed it. - Rated 3 out of 5by Byzod, 4 months agoCan't say I don't recommend this since it's the only dev tool on mobile, thanks for brings the ability to inspect but why there's only a copy button for node inner html? I can see id/class/random-attribute of a node but can't copy them unless copy the whole thing and pick the info I need in another editor, that's tedious...I mean, frankly speaking, stupid

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17779858, a year agoIt doesn't appear when a site is using a huge overlay (which is what I installed this for, to delete that element). You may need to use a stupid high zIndex or something.
For others having trouble installing, I did it on beta, after enabling and adding the collection where the app reboots, you then need to go into settings->addons and hit the little plus. This last step isn't mentioned on the mdn blogpost. Then it turns up in the trippledot->addons on every tab. - Rated 3 out of 5by Killerlearner, a year agoIt lets me inspect any page in firefox android but I can't edit anything in that inspect than what's the point of it so can you please update it so we can also edit things in inspect.
