posted 2 years agohi! what version are you using? there was an issue for tweet replies that was fixed a few days ago in version 0.2.5. if you have version 0.2.5, could you make an issue on github and provide more information so it can be fixed? Thanks! https://github.com/kheina-com/Blue-Blocker/issues - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17897568, 2 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Ube, 2 years agoGreat add-on. Does what it says, saves you time from doing it manually.
- Rated 4 out of 5by DH, 2 years agoI'd rate this 5 stars, but it needs a way to view and clear the queue. I currently have a queue of 2, abd it keeps dropping to 1 then going back up to 2. It's trying to clear these two accounts and failing, so it is constantly going to be pinging twitter and running the risk of a logout.
- Rated 5 out of 5by John Doe, 2 years agoVery recommended. If you don't want every Blue users appear on top of the replies in every tweet then you should use this.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Alan, 2 years agoFor a while I think it only blocked people if you visited their Twitter profile, but now it appears to block blue check accounts in both my For You feed and in replies to other tweets, which is great news! I can see it working in real time. 5 stars.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17889328, 2 years agoPros - Makes Twitter usable again
Cons - It's Twitter.
Overall I'd recommend it. Every single astroturfing/bot account has twitter blue as 8 dollars a month is worth extra algorithm reach on your GPT generated tweets. If you like reading human tweets this is a must have. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 17888800, 2 years agodoes what it says on the tin. Notifications are annoying because they take up way to much space, but I've adapted to them. It'd be better if it had a size/placement option. Good product. Blocks blue users

posted 2 years agogood point. I'll make an issue for it. any suggestions where they would work better?
currently, you can disable blocked popups in the context menu found by clicking the extension icon in the toolbar. - Rated 5 out of 5by bartku, 2 years agoI would LOVE an on/off button! I need to manually switch the extension on and off, as there are many "good" blue checkmarks on my main feed that I want to keep (retweeted by those I follow).
EDIT: So how I use it is point the browser at some juicy tweet, with lots of dumb blue checkmark replies, and then switch the extension on in the Add-ons manager. Then I get logged out after a while, log back in and repeat.
Great thing about the extension is that it caches all the accounts to block, so even if you get logged out, and logged out you will be, when you get back, the list just waits for you to reactivate the extension.

v.0.2.2 Updated review for new version.
v.0.2.1 Fantastic addon. Have been using for about a week now. Absolutely essential imo. let me tell you HOWMST to use it.
1. So you are installing it. Awesome, great work, do yourself a favor and make sure you add it to the menu toolbar, you dont have to keep it there but just do it this one time at least. Is it a little clicky on your bookmarks toolbar? Like a fat blue B with a X in the middle? Great, you did it. Is it not there? Go screw with your settings until you get that lil guy up there.
2. Don't go directly to twitter yet. You need to DO SOMETHING first.
3. Click on the lil guy. Neat, it's got 8 checkboxes for things you can do. I check the bottom four: I mute instead of block, and don't let it block anyone I follow, or are following me. [I have several of followers, I don't know all their lore.] Sometimes I check the top box, the popup is good, but I also have the console open on the page for Reasons, so I see the notification anyway. It also has a lil thingy at the top that says how many people you've blocked, seems new to me. [mine says 456, I've done about 15,000 this week so it could just be a today thing, i'm not judging, this works great].
3.1 There is now a slider at the bottom of the clicky. You need to interact with this. Set it to 18 seconds. Right now the API limit has been set to something very low, at like 50 blocks/15 minutes. That works out to one block every 18 seconds. The limit is inconsistently applied to servers, and a few are still running at the much higher 250/15 limit. The first time out, let's just stick to the 18 second limit so we can make sure everything works.
4. The BEST way this works is NOT to just unleash it on your feed unless you're absolutely swamped with bluechecks. The BEST way is to:
a. Set it on an Elon Musk post*. You will get thousandS.
b. Set it on like a Tucker Carlson post, or something with similarly high engagement, and mine out the discourse by toxicity.
c. Leave it on passive and read posts as normal. BUT hear me out, let's make sure it works first while this is fresh in your mind.
5. Do you have the ability to make a macro that just holds the spacebar down for like a minute or so at a time? Now's a great time to make that. It's not the end of the world if you can't, this is very much a quality of life thing.
6. Just to make sure it's working, hit like F12, or whatever control brings the firefox console up, ctrl-shift-j for pc I think? Make sure it's scrolled down. Hopefully it's going to get real busy.
7. Try this query in the search field: '-filter:verified filter:blue_verified to:@elonmusk', and hold down the space bar or your macro if you made one. (pgdown misses things sometime). The developer console should be filling up with queue and block texts. That means it's working! You won!
Note A. Sometimes Twitter is going to log, or lock you out of your account. Even though the addon is blocking slowly, you can still run over block limits. This isn't a deficiency of the addon. Sometimes you have to log back in, or do an arkose challenge. It's fine, fix it, find an Andrew Tate tweet and make coffee, everything is fine.
Note B. Don't use Twitter real hard or try blocking from your phone while this is running on your computer, you'll get locked out. Do other things. Touch a grass. Take a Duolingo lesson. Learn about gigantic prehistoric birds. Other things.
**Note D. I use several different filters to populate my blocklist. Because of how things are with Twitter, I can get wildly different results between them, yours will likely vary as well. In addition, I do not always trust that the addon will correctly filter legacy checkmarks out, (Issue #62 in the repository), so I continue to use verified filters. To burn all of someone's reply guys, try something like (((to:elonmusk) until:2023-12-31 since:2023-04-01) -filter:verified filter:blue_verified) filter:repliesDeveloper response

lmao love this
edit: I love that you keep coming back to make sure this is up to date, it's awesome. I love re-reading it to try and figure out what's new
edit 2: I'm curious what the block counter is at now - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 16010520, 2 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17405484, 2 years agoFinally can use twitter again without all the billionaire ball garglers staining my feed with their god awful opinions
- Rated 5 out of 5by glurg, 2 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Tyrand, 2 years agoIt works fairly well, only problems I have with it are caused by Twitter's horrible API limits.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Speedy, 2 years agoKind of works. It is very inconsistent at blocking users in replies. If you go to their profile and refresh, it'll block them then. Otherwise, it doesn't do a great job. The console logs also state it's due to "NFT avatars" which isn't the case
- Rated 5 out of 5by LilyIsWasHere, 2 years agoIt does what it says. Sometimes requires a refresh for the Twitter UI to update block changes.
