posted a month agoThanks for your message! Ads should be automatically blocked if all components of Ghostery are enabled. If you find some ads unblocked, please send us a quick email to support@ghostery.com with site examples and we'll be happy to look into it. If you refer to something similar to "element picker", that is on our roadmap and we'll have a solution soon.

- Rated 4 out of 5by T3chN1nja, 5 months agoWhy did the developer or developers decide to do one of the dumbest redesigns? I don't buy the based on user input BS. Typical statement made by poor developer design. Yes I've done website and app design. Put the "Pause Ghostery" button back when you click on the icon. It's quicker vs going into the settings. Like why? I need to be able to quickly toggle the pause frequently and now it's more clicks for zero reasons. I can still pause my UBlock Origin that way right on the icon click. But in it's place you tell the user where to go find it. We want the pause button back!

"Pause on this site" is back in the panel. Unfortunately you cannot make use of it on Firefox as the version carrying it is pending review with the Mozilla AMO team. It's released on all other browsers.

Ghostery Team - Rated 4 out of 5by Alex, 6 months agoI have used Ghostery for so long. It has blocked various ads and trackers, making feel safe while being on the internet. However, I think recently the extension had gone through an update of some sort. After the update, it has not been blocking any ads and there are so many pop ups. If this continues to happen, I might consider using a different extension.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Herodotus, 9 months agoIn tandem with other ad and tarcker blockers such as Adblock Plus and uBlock Origin, you know your browsing is safe.
The only real drawbacks are that many features on a website are blocked, including captchas, and soetimes entire websites that arelegitimate won't allow you to access them. in that case, I must open another browser with Ghostery installed to access them, which is a bit of a pain, but easily overcome if you recognise what's going on.
So 4 out 5 Stars is generous, as the limitations placed on regualr browsing can sometimes outweigh the benefits,Developer response
posted 8 months agoHi there,
Many thanks for your review!
Unfortunately we do not have the capacity to test running Ghostery simultaneously with other content blockers in the browser and we recommend deciding for one as there might be issues where the different content blockers rules exclude each other.
Running multiple content blockers in parallel is for advanced users - like in your case - where you know how to recover if issues pop up.
