- Rated 3 out of 5by OnyxShadow, 3 years agoEntirely necessary feature missing from Netflix (because they are embarrassed about how bad half of their content is). However, despite this probably being the best among similar addons, this one still mixes up probably a quarter of shows/movies.
I'd be happy to make this a 5/5 review if there was an option to fix/report mixed up ratings. - Rated 3 out of 5by WStegem, 3 years agoLove the concept, but it fails to find the correct rating constantly. For example, Mindhunter, the 2017 TV show rated 80 on Metacritic, shows the Mindhunters (2005) movie rating of 33.
The inaccuracy makes me hesitant to trust any ratings, and I always click through on anything I'm interested in - kind of defeating the point of having ratings on Netflix itself.
Pulling info using media type (TV show, movie) and year might make it more accurate, as well as looking for an exact match on the title before less accurate matches ("Mindhunter" vs "Mindhunters") - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14040479, 4 years agoHow do you get to the options screen to change which sources the film scores are calculated from?
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14949853, 4 years agoIt would have been a great addon if it actually worked.
Anyhow, I like to repeat what people already said earlier:
First: There is a "?" sign on the single displays instead of showing the score, no matter which score engine one chooses.
However, secondly, you are able to see the scores on the displays of "Netflix Originals". Maybe because these are queued differently in a bigger format.
I hope my explaining here helps to fix this issue soon since I'd love to have access to the imdb ratings. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 16121013, 5 years agoAlles ist Top auser das die Bewertung der Serie nicht bei mir auf der Serie oder Film oder so unten Rechts angezeigt wird das 7,0 oder so aber sonst viele Funnktionen gut mit ein Kombination zu ein andere Netflix Add On sicht schön aus bei Netflix und zusätzlich das Weisse Netflix Menü finde ich TOLL
- Rated 3 out of 5by Mrudul T, 5 years agoSmall issue with the add-on is that, I can no longer expand a movie/show title down. Clicking on the down arrow to expand just starts the movie/show directly.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 15208578, 6 years agoAdd-on page says:
"Permissions
This add-on can:
Access your data for www.netflix.com
Access your data for api.themoviedb.org
Access your data for www.themoviedb.org
Access your data on 5 other sites
Access browser tabs"
Where can I see the actual site names of "access your data on 5 other site"?????
I only used FF for netflix, but that seems sketchy and should be extremely clear.Developer response
posted 6 years agoThe add-on need permissions to get the actual ratings from the websites. You can browse the source code: https://github.com/mrwrob/netfweb - Rated 3 out of 5by CarlPH, 7 years agoTakes a while before the ratings loads, the ratings will be question marks and after a few minutes it will then show the ratings.

posted 7 years agoThe delay is for a reason - we don't want to DDoS 3rd part websites.... - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14070923, 7 years agoNot all the sites are working for me, and the little badge doesn't show any score if it doesn't have a rating from all of the sites. still can see the ratings from the sites that are working in the drop down, but needs to be able to show a score even when not every site has one. won't be keeping since it plasters the page with ? currently, and I can just look up ratings if I'm curious about a specific entry.
Edit: I apparently misunderstood the badges, they are not an average or anything, simply one of the ratings as selected in the extension. this is kinda disappointing, but at least I can select a rating source that is currently working to get something meaningful in the badges. guess I'll keep it around
