- Rated 2 out of 5by pd, 3 years agoAppears to no longer open links (in a new adjacent tab) as it has done well for some time.
Frustrating that functionality is not a default option in Firefox but understandable.
This is all I use this add-on - opening links into a new tab when dragged.
Note: may (but uncertain) be related to the recent Firefox 91.4.1esr (64-bit) release. - Rated 2 out of 5by housewave, 5 years agoThis plugin breaks the "Facebook Messenger" chat windows. When disabled, the Fb Messenger chat function gooes well.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Exaskryz, 7 years agoThis does break Facebook. I can't use Messenger at all with it enabled, and it might prevent the auto-alert when new notifications come in (requiring manual page refresh). If you don't have any need for Facebook, then this is a fine addon otherwise.

- Rated 2 out of 5by ludvik, 7 years agoIt works basically as intended, but the fact that it prevents Facebook Messenger from working (denies the pop-up window) makes this add-on quite unattractive for me.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13769511, 7 years agoWhen enabling the add-on, can't load the facebook chat (2018/2/8), also sometime the add-on doesn't work, you have to reload the page.

Block the editor (cannot drag node and impossible to create connections) - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13574928, 7 years agoIt works sometimes. After firefox started, it doesn't work. I have to open preference of extension and change something (just like poking it to wake it up). After that, it works.
- Rated 2 out of 5by JMJimmy, 7 years agoFails in many situations including major ones like Facebook and Twitter. Even here on mozilla.org it fails to operate correctly on some elements.
The other major issue it has is that it continues to operate inside textareas so that reordering text/links with the mouse results in a search/link opening. In the default situation it blocks the text from being moved as well so it's actually breaking the expected behaviour.
On the plus side it restored my tab opening preferences for the most part. The ordering of tabs is backwards though so if you drag multiple links the order is Last->First when intuitively it should be First->Last - Rated 2 out of 5by Ink, 7 years agowhy couldn't use search engine Baidu or use the Firefox set search engine

- Rated 2 out of 5by kurish, 7 years agoFireDrag 2.0.0 (Oct 27, 2017) is not ready for prime time.
Showstopper: It simply fails to work at all on some pages.
Major shortcoming: Limited to pre-defined search engines
Annoyance: Settings dropdown for "New Tab Position" is non-functional.
Using Firefox 56.0.2 64-bit on Windows.
The search continues for a decent drag extension compatible w/FFox 57.
