(Version 0.20 messes up links located on the line where the progress bar passes (top, didn't test bottom). When the load is finished, the links there either don't work or the link target area has moved below the actual displayed link(s).)
Just great. I'd even like it better if the progress bar could be located behind the text of the Address Bar. There was an old extension pre-WebExtensions-API doing that, and it looked great.Developer response
posted 4 years agoI see, will try to fix it.
Edit: fixed in v.0.21, can you try it? - Rated 4 out of 5by irajic, 5 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Dewnan, 7 years agoNice addon to see page loading, I wish it could be in the tab though.
- Rated 4 out of 5by h34d4k3, 7 years agoIt looks fine, but because it's a web extension and it renders inside a page, it only appears once the page starts loading. I never see the bar for more than half a second and the growth is not smooth.
- Rated 4 out of 5by david smith, 7 years agoWith the default "width" setting, i couldn't see the progress bar, having placed it at the bottom. Changing the "width" setting to about 50% i can now see the thicker bar. Perhaps the default setting for the width should be 100% instead of the current size?
And rather than labeling it width, label it thickness (or depth) instead?
Meanwhile, i like how when the bar indicates that the page has finished loading, the color fades out. Neat.

posted 7 years agoI agree that "thickness" is better word for it - I will change it in the next version. Regarding the default, everybody have preferences, I can bump it to 2px but would not prefer 10px (100%) - I want the progress bar not to be distraction - it's there if you look for it but you don't notice it if everything works fine.
Edit: v0.7 implements both suggestions, default thickness of 2px and labeled as "thickness" not width - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13476759, 7 years agoPlease add option to be inside the address bar.

posted 7 years agoUnfortunately the new webext API for FF57+ does not expose mechanism to modify the address bar. - Rated 4 out of 5by metaphil, 8 years agoin addition, it lets you adjust color and width of the loading bar.
adds back a teensy bit of customizabilty to FF57+ ...
might look a bit irritating on websites (some ajax-y rich web apps) that bring their own loading or scroll progess indicator. didn't check that yet and will see how it works out.
