posted a year agoHi 17641161,
thanks a lot for your rating. I'm sorry that the extension is not working as expected for you.
In case I understood correctly, you entered your Mastodon handle, visited a Mastodon instance, clicked a button and it did not redirect? In this case, could you please provide more details on what happened instead, e.g. was an error shown? What instance did you try it on and what is your home instance?
Also you did not accidentally press enter on the options page?
If you continue to have problems with that, it would be very nice if you could report this bug on https://github.com/rugk/mastodon-simplified-federation/issues and provide more information there, so we can deal with it. Thanks.
Best regards,

thanks a lot for your rating. I'm sorry that it does not work for you.
From what i read you pressed enter when entering your username/handle in the settings. Could you please try again without pressing enter? Settings should save automatically, enter may accidentally trigger the reset button.
You or someone else may have opened an issue on GitHub about that exact problem (https://github.com/rugk/mastodon-simplified-federation/issues/110), so let me know, if it is about the issue you describe. There I also replied with more technical details and ideas to solve this.
That said, the steps above should fix your problem and you can continue to use the extension. I would be happy if you tried it out again and report back whether that works for you.
If this helped, it would be glad if you could adjust your voting.
Best regards,
rugk
