- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13773661, 7 months agoIt works well on mobile, but if you turn off the screen and you're listening to a playlist on mobile YouTube, it stops at the end of the current video.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Luis, a year agoThis extension has helped me for a long period, because i often use limited internet connection and deactvating videos helps saving bandwith.
BUT, i recently migrated to firefox and i don't know why here this extension causes a bizarre bug that is when i play a song in a playlist, shows one music but plays the audio from the next music.
I don't know why this is occuring, but is very frustrating, and only sometimes that this happens. I just use in youtube music this extension, but i have disabled it because of this error.
(And sorry, i don't speak natively english, maybe have some misspell but i have to post this review to report this)Developer response
posted a year agoThank you for the report. I will test the extension and let you know. However, I think that this bug is impossible to happen. Can you please check if you have any other extensions that cause this issue? Οr check if you have enabled the extension's option "Show video thumbnail in video player"? If so, then maybe the thumbnail that you see is from the previous video but the audio is the correct one. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 11615950, a year agoI was concerned by comments about the extension not realIy blocking the video stream-- just hiding it. I opened Firefox's Task Manager while streaming a music video on youtube, to see if toggling Music Mode on and off affected memory & power usage. Enabling Music Mode didn't seem to reduce the CPU or Memory footprint while streaming. Too bad.
If you just want to hide images, it's good. I use Music Mode in Chrome when I'm teaching. There are lots of options on what to hide & show.Developer response
posted a year agoThank you for the review! I am glad that you use the extension and it helps you.
The extension does indeed fully block videos, reducing YouTube data usage. To verify, you can check the Firefox Web Developer Tools. Live videos are the only exception (as it is mentioned in the extension's description). The impact includes a decrease in CPU, memory, and a noticeable decrease in GPU usage (almost 0% usage), which directly affects power consumption. However, keep in mind that if you want lower CPU usage, you have to disable the "Always visible progress bar" option.
Hope this clarifies. Have a great year!
