- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13730080, 7 years agoI have used Norton's since the beginning of time including the Identity Safe. I am trying Foxfire again as a browser, surprisingly fast and lovely, also imported all my bookmarks nicely, but see we have issues with compatibility with age old Nortons. This is on Facebook, where there is a yellow flash incessantly and I have been able to click on each option it offers, with no results. In other words, the stop, wait, temporary disable buttons do not work. The learn more was not helpful. I would like to just turn off Foxfire notification for this item, if possible. I did see that in the add on list, you need to let each add on update! you would think that is a given ,but no, I changed all the Nortons add ons to that and then did a live update for Nortons, just in case there is some hold up in updating. Otherwise Nortons home page, safe web and identity safe are playing nice with Foxfire.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13509523, 7 years agoI have used Norton products for decades, including personal and business use, and trust this company completely with my online security. In addition to using their password extension, I also use Norton Internet Security and Norton Core (both fine products).
Regarding Norton Identity Safe, it's not perfect and has some quirks, but I still prefer this password manager over the other password apps, and I've tried most of them. Of the 40 websites that I logon, only two fail to auto-fill. This is fairly typical of most of the other password managers. Norton was one of the first vendors to publish their extension compatible with Firefox Quantum; about half of the major password managers are not even listed in the Firefox extensions - not a very good sign to me. I want an extension reviewed and blessed by Mozilla.
I also use Norton Identity Save on my iPad. It syncs well, but I do wish the Norton app would support split screen for IOS 11.
I do have some complaints as follows:
Norton Services is sometimes down, causing the extension not to function. Last week, the service was down twice - for a few hours each time. Surely Norton can improve on this! I also noticed that the "My Vault" option on the pull-down menu will stop working at some point, usually after I've completed a few logons.
Quirks aside, company reputation, trust, and security mean everything to me - especially when a third party is maintaining your sensitive data in the cloud. Norton has that reputation for me. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13487252, 7 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by tracnmud59, 7 years agoI have used Norton for decades and Identity Safe since it came out. Changed from IE to Firefox over a year ago and was happy to find this interface to Identity Safe. If you like Identity Safe w/ IE and choose to move up to Firefox, this is definitely a no-brainer.
I know this review is not specific, nor does it identify differences. I worked in IT for 35 years, mostly with IE. The last few years I changed all of my home machines to Firefox to improve up-time and have been extremely pleased. It took me a bit to figure out the way Firefox works with Identity Safe (vs IE) and that is the only down-side I noticed. - Rated 4 out of 5by ukuleledac, 8 years agoOccasionally, Norton Identity Safe add-on will fail to run (initially) with certain Firefox updates. OR IS IT the other way around? I cannot say if it is Norton or Mozilla.
Either way, for me it has been working fine for many years albeit the occasional compatibility hiccup.
All in all, a happy user here. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12850632, 8 years agoit's been working great for a few days now and has been fine
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12272696, 8 years agoWow finally, it started working. I had firefox updated to Firefox 50 and it started work on my Windows as well as CentOS (Linux) Operating System. Though on my Linux, the app page shows not compatible(though it is) and doesn't seem to update to versio 1.2.47.5 from 1.0.220 (One star removerd from that)

Had to figure out to access vault via icon in top right. Actually like that the vault is a browser page. In Chrome the vault ribbon would lay over the top of the page I was viewing which was inconvenient. - Rated 4 out of 5by jboland1010, 9 years agoThis version works well now, after a bumpy start. Two inconveniences: (1) if FF is closed and reopened, the vault must also be reopened and (2) it is not possible to edit vault entries from inside FF. The latter problem can be addressed by opening the vault from inside the Norton product. Then entries can be edited through that vault access.
