The default "save as..." always defaults to the last place I saved something which I too often just hit the enter key on and then go searching for the file. This solves that problem. I'm not using any of the fancy routing/renaming or other features. Just defaulting to Downloads is all I wanted.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17636936, a year agoWorks flawlessly on most images, some sites have bad coding *coughtwittercough* and you need ot manually force the extension to set its extension, but the extension itself makes it extremely easy to customize. 10/10 as long as you are competent and willing to spend 20 minutes learning how it works.

I made a Rewrite Rule for Chaturbate if anyone is interested: https://gist.github.com/irrweg/020faffae6c49e77abd37316740a7cff
Works best for Pictures and Videos with the addon "Imagus mod" together. - Rated 5 out of 5by NEM, 2 years agoLove this extension. If you specifically downloaded this for twitter, the developer also has the solution for the file extensions https://github.com/gyng/save-in/wiki/Filename-rewrite

- Rated 5 out of 5by Flarzo, 5 years agoExcellent add-on for people who save a lot of images frequently. Initially I had trouble getting Symlinks to work but I solved that issue by downloading Link Shell Extension (https://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/linkshellextension.html) and creating Symlinks that way.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Glock, 5 years agoMaking my life so much easier.. but wish I could choose myself how many "last" folders I want, and it would be nice with some tutorials for the advanced settings. Some times I cant read the config options (looks like the text goes white or something).
I saw there was someone saying the rules cant do two things.. it can! But it was a pain to figure out..
Here is one example to add time and url to the filename:
// Add ISO date to filenames
pagedomain: instagram.com
filename: .*
into: :date:_+_:pageurl:_:filename:
// /\(([^()]+)\)/g
// Add ISO date to filenames
filename: .*
into: :date:_:hour:.:minute:.:second:_+_:pagedomain:_:filename:
// Matches images with no dot extension in filename
filename: ^[^\.]+[^\.]{0,5}$
mediatype: image
into: :filename:.jpg
// Matches videos with no dot extension in filename
filename: ^[^\.]+[^\.]{0,5}$
mediatype: video
into: :filename:.mp4 - Rated 5 out of 5by Mojave, 6 years ago
