- Rated 1 out of 5by Keychain1, 5 years agoedit: okay, this is starting to happen much more often now: every so often all tabs except from the group I am currently using will disappear. Without additional tab consistency, I cannot use this addon.
Love the ability to separate tabs by projects and such.
Please add a feature to open link in new workspace when right clicking on a - Rated 2 out of 5by めさ, 6 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Nibinaear, 6 years agoEDITED: I've since found "Sync Tab Groups" so I won't be using this anymore.
Exactly what I was looking for, a way to organize my different activities into tasks, brilliant. On improvements, having to click 2 edit buttons to rename a workspace is a slight pain. Also text is too small and colour scheme could use some work. I will give this a longer-term go before I give a proper rating. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14277819, 6 years agoSaved my tabs into a worskspace, lost all of them

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13932604, 7 years agoa previous review stated exactly the problem that I randomly get:
"Cannot switch between workspaces. When I try doing this, all tabs from another workspace load in the active one."
Please tell me if I am doing something incorrectly, this problem renders this fantastic feature unusable... - Rated 5 out of 5by 夜幕下的猫, 7 years agoIt just worked! Thanks!
But it seems it can not restore the tabs of current workspace while re-open (quit and open) firefox, while other workspaces work fine. - Rated 2 out of 5by Arcesilas, 7 years agoPro:
- Cute
Cons:
- No possibility to drag a tab to another workspace
- No global view - Rated 3 out of 5by GoodOldMonkey, 7 years agoOkay: the developer does spell it out — when you switch workspaces, the tabs of the previous workspace are CLOSED, not just hidden as they were with the (wonderul, much lamented) Tab Groups. It seems this is unavoidable with the new FF. But it guts the extension:
• When you switch workspaces, you have to wait for all the tabs to reload, and
• When you quit FireFox, only the tabs in the active workspace are saved.
I was using a different container (i.e. identity) in each workspace, with at least six tabs for each of four workspaces. That let me separate business, personal, hobby and second-business work — but having to set it all up again on restart is a bummer. If there's a way to save the workspaces and revive them, I'll up this to 4 stars. But the speed hit from reloading tabs when you switch workspaces puts 5 stars out of reach. Looks like a very good try at doing something Mozilla has sadly made impossible.
My workaround for now is separate windows for each kind of container tab, plus Tree Style Tabs (may have that name wrong) - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13466438, 7 years agoGenerally does what is advertises but occasionally crashes the browser and/or looses tabs when switching from one group to another.
- Rated 3 out of 5by ageor, 7 years agoWorks as advertised.
The deal breaker for me is that Workspaces are _not_ persistent between browser sessions :( - Rated 4 out of 5by Oliv, 7 years agoPros :
- automatically save new tabs to (delete closed tabs from) current/active group (or workspace)
- switch group does not add new windows
Cons :
- cannot directly open a group in a new window. If you open a new window, you don't have access to your groups (you have to create a new set of groups for this particular window)
- switch groups reload all tabs (I know this is actually Firefox's fault), hope it will be corrected when Firefox allows hide tabs
- cannot re-order the groups, when you have many of them it can be annoying
- you cannot see the tabs in the "group view", so :
* you cannot choose the tab you want to go when you switch groups
* no delete tabs button (must open the group first) - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13562304, 7 years agoVery good job, so far it is the best replacement I have found, and considering the limitations we have to work with now a worthy replacement of what used to be. When I found out Tab Groups no longer worked I considered making my own version, especially after I tried a couple others, thankfully I found your version and it saved me the trouble.
There are a few things I think are missing, but they might be limitations of WebExtensions also, I haven't done any work in WebExtensions to know. The most important for me would be just the ability to organize the order the groups show up. The second most important would be the ability to close out tabs without actually opening the tab group. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13562257, 7 years agoNice extension to open a series of tabs contextually. I love it.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13454760, 7 years agoUpgrade to FF 57.0.1 , all defined Workspaces seem to be lost, how to recover ?
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13494509, 7 years agoWorkplaces constantly disappear or tabs within them disappear. Usually happens after browser updates, but have had it happen randomly. Also sometimes the tabs in a workspace wont close when switching and create extras, a real pain when said workspaces have a lot of tabs in them. Better than nothing, but I'm really eager for an update that fixes these issues. Maybe consider bringing others on board to help with the addon.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13494107, 7 years agoLike coutless other users I came here as an alternative to Tab Groups. I'm glad to get the functionality back as it helps my multi tasking.
I'd give it 5stars, but having all tabs reload when switching workspace is overloading my ram and freezing my computer while I try sort all my Tabs back into groups. - Rated 3 out of 5by TerminusEst, 7 years agoThe big problem for me is that it loads every tab when I select another Workspace. This consumes a lot of bandwidth and processing power. It would be good if it just displayed the tabs with the correspondent addresses, but load only the first one, for example. That way, if I want just a specific tab, I can select it and load it only, just like Tab Groups did.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Arthur, 7 years agoReverses the tabs order on every workspace switch.
On opening a new window it just forgets everything. - Rated 2 out of 5by Sergei, 7 years agoCannot switch between workspaces. When I try doing this, all tabs from another workspace load in the active one.
- Rated 4 out of 5by André Ribet, 7 years agoMuy bueno, un salvavidas a la desaparicion de tabs grup, pero me falta que indique que espacio está seleccionado
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13470578, 7 years agoAt least good news for Tabgroup user. Not as powerful as tabgroups yet. but hey respect for bringing it so far.
As improvements i like to see
1. Make the drop down window a bit wider, when there are more then 10 Workspaces a vertical Scrollbar appears and forces a horizontal scrollbar to appear.
2. A option to save my Tabgroups to a file as backup.
