- Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 18871924, 5 giorni faLooks great, but a couple of issues:
1 - Syncing your vault with SimpleLogin results in every login being duplicated as an Alias. If you are not using SimpleLogin, then ignore this. If you are, i recommend you do NOT sync, at least not until they fix it, which might take years.
2 - No regex matching or similar on urls. This is a huge downside. It was reported as a feature-request sometime in 2023 I think, and it is still not implemented.
Keep in mind these issues are general ProtonPass issues, and not isolated to this extension. I can not make the switch form Bitwarden until these are fixed. - Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 18870658, 6 giorni faThis add-on needs a keyboard shortcut to fill in credentials.

pubblicato il un mese faUnfortunately, we cannot support the Proton Pass extension on Tor because the extension is built using Manifest V3, which is not supported by this browser. Nonetheless, we have passed on your feedback to the team accordingly. - Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 13418277, 2 mesi faNEVER consistant, most of the time it doesn't recognize that its suppose to FILL IN THE BLANKS !!! Getting rid of it. BTW, ZERO customer service, even on FB they ask a question to your question but NEVER give solutions.

That said, they could make the extension easier to use if they chose to. For example, if you want a new password field - not _the_ password field but _a_ new password field, your only recourse is to click on the huge plus, generate a password, then click edit on the item, create a new hidden text field and paste the generated password, being very careful not to allow anything to interfere with your clipboard in the interim. What a disaster. The gold standard (1Password) has a dedicated "password" field and underneath that field is a dedicated "generate password" action
The fact that Proton Pass has been stuck in this 2000s UX for as long as I've been using it demonstrates that they really don't care at all about their users, no matter how many "vote for features!!11" forums they offerReplica dello sviluppatore

Compared to how Bitwarden matches by base domain, host, regular expression, etc., Proton Pass may as well be unusable (uses a simple search, so having a frequently used email of @domain.com and then having a domain.com website to log into means you get hundreds of "matching" credentials.)
UI is not compact, at all--very inefficient UI.Replica dello sviluppatore

Though the online user-manual is often very lengthy for each feature, clarity is lacking. Approximately 20-screen scrolls in an attempt to explain how to "add alias" e-mail names.Replica dello sviluppatore

We'll be looking forward to your updated review. - Valutata 2 su 5di Quitch, 10 mesi faWhen it works it's lovely, but it simply isn't as reliable as Bitwarden. Sometimes it won't spot a login field, sometimes it will fill in the password but not the username, and sometimes it will fill in the password wrong even though the copy in the vault is accurate and works when manually copy & pasted.

When it doesn't work, it really doesn't work."
In my end, this add-on wasn't even remotely nice to use, it does everything what it says, and it does it beautifully. But because of one critical, persistent issue, troubleshooting this add-on was a literal saga filled with confusion and torment.
The issue is that it sometimes kicks me out of my session and just refuses to sign me back in and turns into a loop where I input my email address and password over and over again only to end up with an error every single time. I used different forks of Firefox and it still did the same thing, re-installing the add-on or using different Firefox profiles didn't fixed anything, forcing me to use the Web App or Windows program of Proton Pass. I don't know if it's because of my setup or the extension... Either way, this is not the normal behaviour you would expect from this add-on.Replica dello sviluppatore

I am unable to fully use Proton Pass on my Galaxy Tab S7, since it won't get Android 14, 13 is the last it will get. Please make an Android version of your addon for older android devices like tablets on Android 13 or under. Once you do, an easy 5 star.

Now it breaks pages that have drop-down or pop-ups. Turning it off is the only solution which of course requires that it be turned back on when you need it. The free version is much too restricted.
There are also a lot of bugs: the fields are filled in but the validate/connect button does not activate, or refuses to connect.
It also lacks many functions, the "check up" of weak passwords for example does not exist, the sorting functions are more than limited, all this is too basic.
In short, it's too expensive and it's too limited.
I wanted to switch from Firefox manager to proton pass and finally I backtracked.
I love proton mail but there is still a lot of work to be done to make proton pass a premier password manager.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il un anno faThank you for sharing your feedback with us! A password strength indicator is currently available on Android and iOS, and it's on our roadmap for the extension as well. Moreover, having two active subscriptions under the same account is not supported. If the Unlimited plan doesn't fit your needs, a possible workaround is having two Plus accounts - one for Proton Mail and another one for Pass.
Please let us know what sorting options you're missing, as well as which validate/connect button you're referring to, in an update to your review.

Could you please advise us what specifically you are attempting to achieve? The extension should start working upon logging into your account.- Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 13558218, un anno faI recommend against this extension because the free version allows creating just one extra vault. It is not really possible to organize several notes in this way. It is abusive of users since it doesn't cost anything to allow extra vaults. At least five vaults should have been allowed for free users. Meanwhile, I have no choice but to stick to Bitwarden which has no such limitation.

I love Proton Mail. I'd hoped to have all PWs in one safe place, then delete them from Firefox and different profiles in Chrome. I need to see all the passwords on one page, the way all the browsers display them, and manage them from that page. I also need to easily choose login credentials when there is more than one profile on a site. For now, I'll stick to managing PWs through browsers. Please make this look more like what everyone's used to.

pubblicato il 2 anni faThank you for taking the time to review our service! Introducing a full screen Web app is on our roadmap and its development has already started: https://proton.me/blog/pass-roadmap-2023. Please note that you can already easily select one of multiple logins available for a certain service, by selecting the Proton Pass icon in the login field. - Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 18020073, 2 anni faI have used Protonmail merrily for many years, and trust it quite a lot, so when this service popped up I was very promptly in.
The very second website I used after installation was such a spectacular disaster that I had to remove the add-on entirely.
I will TRY to explain (plus superficially mention a couple other things I found lacking).
1. I don't love the large pop-up window asking for something on the side. I IMAGINE it asked if I wanted to save my password for this site, or maybe if I wanted to implement the password it had already stored from the CVS import I had performed minutes earlier. There was no way to know because most of the right-hand side text was clipped, and it would not fill the space even if I reduced the zoom level of the page.
2. Installation process... not great. Too unclear on the results. In my case I could never plainly see if the add-on was already working unless I checked via the Firefox manager.
3. The really egregious problem took place as I was trying to log-in into my bank's website.
My bank has a system that includes 3 pages for that purpose.
1st page you enter your card. 2nd page your password. 3rd page you scan a QR code that a physical token reads and gives you a numerical transitory PIN to be entered in some fields.
It was on this third page that the catastrophic behaviour of the add-on manifested.
The PIN is 8 digits long. Each digit is entered in its own separate space (there are 8 different tiny areas to enter each number).
The 1st and 8th areas showed automatically the icon of ProtonPass. And nothing else could be input into those spaces.
So from 8 digits, I could only enter 6.
Since those numbers are time sensitive, the only way to solve the situation was to deactivate the add-on.
You can imagine how useless this nice idea quickly turned for me.
I hope I was able to explain the situation because my intention is not to simply to berate this tiny piece of software, but to actually help make it better.
Best wishes with the development, very likely I'll come back some months later to check it again.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 2 anni faThank you for your feedback. We appreciate your input on what we can do to improve the extension with future iterations.
For 1), are you using any custom font on your web browser? We're aware of the issue and we're going to address it in a future update.
3) This isn't an issue that we've encountered before. If you're able to reproduce it, would you consider contacting us via the Settings → Support option in the extension, and give us more information so we can document the report? Namely, please send us a screenshot, if possible, tell us the website's name, as well as your OS and browser versions. - Valutata 2 su 5di Haru, 2 anni faI hope the Proton team is putting a lot of effort into this extension because currently, it's not working well at all. I'd say that it only offers to autofill my info on about 50% of the sites I've tried to use it on. When I enter new login info for a website, it pretty much NEVER offers to remember it. I would submit bug reports, but I don't want to take the time because it doesn't work more often than it does. I really wish there was a standalone app for Windows instead of only the browser extension because I'd like to be able to use it for passwords that are outside of the browser as well. I also worry that there could be security vulnerabilities that are due to the browser and extension ecosystem. I'm a paid subscriber and rather disappointed, at the moment.

Feel free to contact us at pass@protonme.zendesk.com with more details about your device model, app version, and which exact websites/apps don't work, so we can document your report in order to improve our extension in upcoming updates. - Valutata 2 su 5di Seth, 2 anni faA bit buggy, but I have hopes for the future of this extension.
In it's current state, passwords fail to autosave, autofill is shaky and it is probably a good idea to use in conjunction with something like Bitwarden. Hopefully they will resolve this swiftly.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 2 anni faHi! Did a password fail to auto-save when you generate it directly through the suggestion while signing up at a certain web service? If so, you can view any generated passwords in the past day by opening the Pass extension → select + → Password → Password history.
This way you can find the password and save it in your login item for which it was created.
As for autofill, could you let us know for which apps/web services it didn't work, so we can document this for future improvement? We're saving all feedback from our community in order to improve autofill further and further in future updates. - Valutata 2 su 5di ObeLadi, 2 anni fa
