posted 3 years agoGlad to hear that you like the add-on. I haven't had a chance to update the wiki page with information about why that new permission is required. I'm probably going to update that document later on today.
In short, this has to do with some adjustments that were made to make the add-on work properly for content that is embedded within other websites. Some older versions of Firefox will not share information about what websites are open unless they have that permission. Unfortunately, I can't apply the permission only to those versions of Firefox that need it, so I have to add that permission for every very of Firefox.
I plan on posting a more detailed explanation to the permissions page: https://github.com/WesleyBranton/Custom-Scrollbar/wiki/About-Permissions

- Rated 5 out of 5by Andre Bell, 11 days agoHave missed the ability to set my own scrollbar colors. I have issues detecting contrast and certain colors. This makes seeing the scrollbar way easier. So far is working on every site I visit. Easy five stars.

- Rated 1 out of 5by kloassie, a month agoScrollbars are getting thinner and thinner and thinner on all platforms and OS's. Why I don't know but I want my thick scrollbars back again, scrollbars I don't need a microscope and a pincet for to grab and scroll. So I installed this extension, bc it said it'd allow me to to customise to MY liking. Turns out with this extension I can make the scrollbars . e.v.e.n . t.h.i.n.n.e.r . but not thicker!!! Yay, I guess? What the actual frog!

posted a month agoUnfortunately, this is a limitation of Firefox. It does not allow the extension to fully customize the width. I've requested this feature many times, but they refuse to add it. If they ever do, I would be happy to add it to the extension. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 18085493, a month agoA little tricky to set up.
Very nice indeed when I set it up correctly. - Rated 5 out of 5by Kadircan Ersahin, a month ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18272826, 3 months agoOne star beacause this is useless and for the highly misleading introduction:
"Get the mouse scrollbar you've always wanted—specify width and color."
Yeah. You can can specify the width, NONE OR THIN. And that does not even work. Whooohou.Developer response
posted 3 months agoUnfortunately, this is a limitation of the Firefox browser. Unlike Chrome, Firefox does not allow complete control over the scrollbar width. - Rated 5 out of 5by Nath'Anubis Geek, 4 months ago
