- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14020091, 7 years agoThere is a problem that when I print a page with {@media print} style, Print Edit WE edits the {@media screen} style but prints the {@media print} style. It's expected to have an option to choose wheter the plugin will print the edited {@media screen} style or {@media print} style, or to directly edit the {@media print} style.
Anyway thanks for your excellent plugin. - Rated 4 out of 5by orange, 7 years agofunction to delete the unmarked rest while editing is broken at some sites like this: http://bit.ly/2ruRVY0, it used to work. ff 59 x64. besides a usefull addon. thanx

- Rated 2 out of 5by sdschramm, 7 years agoI used to use the old version before Firefox 57 and it worked great but now that I upgraded to Firefox Quantum I had to change to this version (Print Edit "WE") and wow what a mess. It hardly ever works. Either a blank page, a page with a spinning wheel, or minutes later a popup will appear. Just to print preview!!!! This is ridiculous! It's faster just to preview in a PDF now! - Note that I am on a Mac with Firefox 58 - after reading some other reviews from people on the same, it sounds like I am not the only one with this issue. Hopefully this can be fixed soon!

posted 7 years agoA few users have reported this problem, when using Mac OS X Sierra 10.12, but Mozilla have been unable to reproduce it. Usually, the first preview appears after 60 seconds, and after that subsequent previews appear immediately. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13943832, 7 years agoThe new version of this add on is much too complicated. There is no way to quickly toggle back and forth between print preview and edit mode.
And sadly, it may be the way that web design is going that keeps the extension as complicated as it is. It should be much easier to keep the unique printable content -- in other words the "article" on a news page or blog, and ditch the rest. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13400975, 7 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13899782, 7 years agoFar less reliable than the old printedit. Try it on CreditKarma.ca for instance.
'Delete except' does work now, but you have to make the right selection on the sub-menu.
Even on simple print jobs there's a tendency to loose the info on the second page.Developer response
posted 7 years agoLosing the information on the second and subsequent pages is a long-standing bug in Firefox, not a bug in Print Edit WE. Try File > Print Preview without Print Edit installed. - Rated 4 out of 5by reikred, 7 years agoYour other addon SavePageWE has an excellent feature that would extremely useful also in PrintEditWE: The text macros %domain%, %date% and %time%. These are used as selectable prefix/suffix patterns in the generated filename.
Having the same feature in PEWE would be beyond awesome. It is highly useful to be able to insert domain/date/time into the (pdf) filename to be printed.
EDIT: IGNORE THIS PART: If macros could be inserted BEFORE the final .pdf of the filename, even better (same goes for .html in SPWE, by the way). CORRECTION: .html is already correctly placed at the end of the name, ignore that part, SORRY!
Perhaps this would be a relatively simple enhancement via code reuse? I'll also email you this in case you don't read reviews that much.
Heck, while I'm at I'll even ask for an option to replace spaces with hyphens (-)(or programmable character), in filenames, although I can also easily manage that with a perl script I have after downloading. Just a mild suggestion ;-).Developer response
posted 7 years agoIn Save Page WE, the text macros (%domain%, %date% and %time%) can be inserted either before the filename (using the Prefix option) or after the filename before the '.html' extension (using the Suffix option). - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13872572, 7 years ago

PARFAIT :)

posted 7 years agoJust to confirm, Print Edit WE does all of the editing locally without using any intermediary or third party website. - Rated 5 out of 5by faryadsaheli483gmail.com, 7 years ago
