- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13538754, 7 years agoNorton Identity Safe do not work with Version 57 in a simple way as with Chrome. Do not identify multiple Logins for one website. One click login is not possible - > so firefox is useless in this matter. I have to go with Chrome as long as this is not fixed :-(
I hope Mozilla and Symantec can fix this asap. Perhaps i have to switch from Symantec to another password keeper which works with Firefox. - Rated 2 out of 5by Tuxedo Will, 7 years agoSince Version 2, you can not paste in your Norton password to unlock the vault. Loss of this ability is very annoying. It really slows things down considering that the unlock password is needed at every start of Firefox (unlike IE). Please enable the unlock password field to accept Paste and/or CTRL-V! Meanwhile, I'm stuck using Version 2.3.0.24. :(
- Rated 2 out of 5by garyw, 7 years agoit is intrusive, and requires going through logging in process several times per day. If you can maintain a secure vault for users you could keep users logged or make it an automatic process-- that is the purpose of the encryption isn't it?

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13509523, 7 years agoI have used Norton products for decades, including personal and business use, and trust this company completely with my online security. In addition to using their password extension, I also use Norton Internet Security and Norton Core (both fine products).
Regarding Norton Identity Safe, it's not perfect and has some quirks, but I still prefer this password manager over the other password apps, and I've tried most of them. Of the 40 websites that I logon, only two fail to auto-fill. This is fairly typical of most of the other password managers. Norton was one of the first vendors to publish their extension compatible with Firefox Quantum; about half of the major password managers are not even listed in the Firefox extensions - not a very good sign to me. I want an extension reviewed and blessed by Mozilla.
I also use Norton Identity Save on my iPad. It syncs well, but I do wish the Norton app would support split screen for IOS 11.
I do have some complaints as follows:
Norton Services is sometimes down, causing the extension not to function. Last week, the service was down twice - for a few hours each time. Surely Norton can improve on this! I also noticed that the "My Vault" option on the pull-down menu will stop working at some point, usually after I've completed a few logons.
Quirks aside, company reputation, trust, and security mean everything to me - especially when a third party is maintaining your sensitive data in the cloud. Norton has that reputation for me. - Rated 3 out of 5by singularwit, 7 years agoI concur with the majority of reviews here. This add-on is broken, but I won't say this behaviour is specific to Firefox's version, because I see the same broken behaviour on Chrome and Safari too! It retrieves from the vault, but doesn't save to it. A pity.
UPDATE: It does save to the Vault, but it triggers an error notification each time I click "Save". - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13504066, 7 years agoI can't set up the identity safe. I choose a password, re-enter it and put in the reminder. It then tells me there is an error. I have done this ad nauseam.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Insevin7, 7 years agoNov 2017: Works okay as usual. I quit Firefox around version 30 or something and am back now with the Quantum version. The newer version of Norton ID Safe now logs me out several times over many hours when on Chrome or old Firefox it would keep me logged in all day as long as I did not restart my PC. Getting logged out at random isn't very helpful.
Jul 2021: For the past years the app has remained more reliable on Firefox. More recently I've noticed no issues and its helped quite a bit. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13490073, 7 years agoSomewhat balky. Also, does not allow user to permanently refuse to add any specific log-in(s) from being saved, which increases risk of accidentally saving a login(s) you do not want in the vault.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 12325769, 7 years agoHmmm. My vault disappeared after a few days use. I don't remember doing anything, overtly, to delete it. That's a problem. Also, there does not seem to be a visible indicator in Firefox to inform me that I've logged into my vault, or not. That's a problem, because logins performed, when the vault is not open, are not saved. The plugin and product have potential, but there is lots of room for improvement.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12879019, 7 years agoWith the latest Firefox update, Norton Identity safe works to log onto a site with a password in the safe, but it is impossible to access the vault to select a site as there is no long an icon for the ID safe on the address bar. Besides, Firefox has been crashing with varying frequency for months now and, although I have dutifully sent in crash reports to the FF Team, nothing has changed, no one has contacted me, and frustration level is rising.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13433800, 7 years agoI've used Norton' Security and identity safe since 2000 and have nothing but praise for them and their ongoing protection of my home computing systems and laptop.
My Norton Identity safe is very secure and ease to use and in the entity of the time I've used Norton I've never had a system intrusion, virus attack or Identity issues and will continue using the Norton Security for as long as I'm able to use the computer without drooling all over the keyboard (I'm 73 now) and have been using computers actively since my Commodore 64...and that's a while back! - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13427561, 7 years agoSometimes it works sometimes it does not. It has problems with Firefox which, after seeking help from Norton, remain unsolved. Perhaps this facility should be withdrawn until these problems are resolved.
