- Rated 1 out of 5by Pinky the Bat, 6 days agoI loved this extension. Then I installed the iOS application, and it told me that my plan did not support autofilling, therefore making this add-on useless. What is the point of a password manager if I can't sync it between multiple devices. Time to reinstall Bitwarden. They aren't as greedy. Nobody has money to pay monthly for a web extension in 2025. I work at a grocery store for 11 hours every day, and barely make enough to live... so no way I'm paying f***ing monthly for a f***ing iOS app. Stop begging me for money. 👎
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18800306, 14 days agoThe extension will use the fill in feature but then not auto save, or even offer to save the login. So it essentially creates a random password that isn't saved anywhere, locking you out of the newly created account. This completely defeats the purpose of saving the password...

Developer response
posted 3 months agoTo clarify, an alias is a randomly generated email address that forwards emails to your main inbox. Proton Pass creates aliases so you can enter them into online forms and protect your actual email address from being disclosed or leaked.
That said, we are currently working on integrating the SimpleLogin alias management feature directly into Proton Pass. Once this feature is released in a future update, users will be able to manage their aliases more easily without needing to switch back and forth between Proton Pass and their SimpleLogin accounts.
Hopefully, this clarifies things further. If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact us using the 'Feedback & Help' option. - Rated 1 out of 5by Nelan, 3 months ago

Very inconsistent autofill on Android that could be easily fixed by allowing this extension to run on mobile.

As for the extension, it is not supported on the mobile web browser. It only works on desktop web browsers. Nonetheless, we've shared your feedback with the team accordingly. - Rated 1 out of 5by coksi, 5 months ago13/01/2025

Developer response

I have one I have used with Foxfire, but now Foxfire won't add it.
Firefox isn't contesting the authenticity of the add-on. I would accept their advice in that matter. This one seems legit and Foxfire is being adamant. Insufficient explanation. I am not pleased.Developer response

This password manager

2. Randomly logs the user out for no reasonDeveloper response

Quite often, it just won't show accounts/passwords that I've got stored in it. Hugely frustrating, and not something I've experienced with any other password manager.

posted 6 months agoThat doesn't sound right. Please try logging out, then logging back into the extension to see if the entries reappear. If that doesn't work, you can also try the manual sync option that can be found by clicking the Proton Pass icon in the top-left corner of the extension → Advanced. Lastly, do not hesitate to contact us using the 'Feedback & Help' option with more details so we can investigate further. - Rated 1 out of 5by r0cket, 7 months agoДополнение для ВПН, которое требует регистрации на собственном сервисе, недоступном без ВПН. posted 7 months agoHi! You can access Proton VPN without an account on the Android app. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18371926, 9 months agoI really like the idea of this, but unfortunately it is very user unfriendly. The Pass monitor suggests that I change insecure passwords on websites, but the extension itself prevents me from doing it. It will save log-ins that I had already created myself, but there is no way to change and improve them. In fact, with the 3 fields to fill out (old password, new password and verify new password), the extension makes it impossible. It has been a frustrating experience trying to make ProtonPass do what it should do. Repeatedly trying to get help on Proton's subreddit did not bear fruit.
I have been a paying Proton customer for years, but ProtonPass is a time-consuming disappointment.
Update: Specifically paypal.com and ebay have been impossible. I have tried a number of times over the past months without success. Another issue is that paypal has very specific limitations as to what is accepted in terms of a password (which characters, symbols, password length, etc). Per my experience, and after a lot of time attempting, this cannot be created by ProtonPass.
Update: Passmail does not get accepted on all platforms/sites when opening new accounts.Developer response

If you need any assistance on our end, you can contact us at: https://proton.me/support/contact. - Rated 1 out of 5by john, a year agoI've uninstalled & reinstalled this extension multiple times in the past few days since its release.
As of March 22, 2024 (v.1.15.1) it is still not working properly and "breaks" many websites. Whatever "fix" they applied does not work.
Either downgrade to the previous version or wait until v.1.16.x since installing this version will create too much frustration with webpages not loading, etc..
Last tip: TURN OFF AUTO-UPDATE. If you do manual update checks and see there's a new version, then wait a week to read reviews before updating; this is the lesson I've learned from this experience... very disappointed in Proton.Developer response
posted a year agoHi! We're sorry to hear about the trouble. Could you please contact us at https://proton.me/support/contact so we can help you troubleshoot? - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17762763, a year agoas many have reported, the latest version of Proton Pass is just a dumpster fire.
It is well documented now and Proton is aware of it.
So what now? One reviewer said he was going back to the previous version. That's great, but where do I find it. Currently I cannot even log in to Proton.me web site itself.
I signed up for a ProtonMail account before it was even released many years ago. I am significantly less pleased with their VPN and PASS as well as Calendar. They all seem half-baked so I deleted them and only use mail now.
Needless to say I am very disappointed in their performance. I suspect they are trying to grow too fast.
In any case, PASS was very clearly not tested very well, as probably tens of thousands of user will finally attest as soon as they can figure out why half the sites they visit seem broken.
PROTON: PLEASE POST A LINK TO THE PREVIOUS VERSION BEFORE ALL YOUR CURRENT USERS ABANDON YOU FOR GOOD.Developer response

It took me forever to figure out what is the problem. Test your builds before publishing ! Everything got broken, from login popups, to loading pages ..etc even the suggested passwords got broken, I get random password suggestions now. Basically having links in the passwords became meaningless. I'm reverting back to version 1.13.2, before you ruined everything.
