- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13336103, 7 years agomy laptop : old style youtube. & old firefox (not Quantum).
this plug-in is not working. - Rated 1 out of 5by Randog_62, 7 years agoIT USED TO WORK GREAT. I READ AN ARTICLE/POST WRITTEN BY THE DEVELOPER. HE STATED THAT HE WAS SO SAD AND SORRY BUT HE HAS A NEW LIFE AND DOESN'T HAVE TIME TO WORK ON IT OR FIX IT. HE PROBABLY WAS PAID OFF BY GOOGLE TO "NOT" FIX IT! EITHER WAY, IT DOESN'T WORK SINCE THE YOUTUBE BOOBS CAME OUT WITH THIS NEW PLATFORM.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Valmont, 7 years agoOne my favorite Firefox Add Ons. I have about 580 blocks defined, most of them mainstream media and clickbait channels. Some channels aren't that bad, but if they use click-bait headlines, I block them. Period. Little persistent bug is that your browser hangs if you click on a video from- or land on a channel you have blocked. Videos from blocked channel usually doens't show in searches or recommended list, but sometimes it does and it might trick you into clicking, resulting a frozen browser. So 4/5 stars. Well deserved.
- Rated 5 out of 5by joli88, 7 years ago1) search for channel name on youtube search.
2) right-click on the name of the channel to block
3) block videos from this channel

About addon- Works like a charm. You can filter useless you tube garbage through this nicely. After blocking channels, better to add channel name as a keyword for popular channels. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13585236, 7 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13571122, 7 years agoDude this should be the most popular add-on on Firefox. You could be making a fortune in donations if the add-on was maintained and updated more often. Once again the add-on is not working properly.
"DO OR DO NOT,... THERE IS NO TRY." - Rated 5 out of 5by Eric Oden, 7 years agoWorks great to hide all the channels YT forces on you. Working on Firefox Nightly 59.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13499998, 7 years agoThis used to be a brilliant add-on. I don't know if it's because of upgrades and changes to Firefox, YouTube/Google, or Windows, but it's become a total resource whore. Blocking more than a few YouTube channels sends Disc usage to 100%, memory goes through the roof - up to 97% - and my computer freezes completely until I go to Task Manager and end Firefox which is eating all the memory it can. I can watch it going from, say, 111MB and slowly climbing to up past the 2,900MB mark. YouTube give me there error message saying a Firefox app is the problem. Video Blocker is always the culprit.
- Rated 1 out of 5by The Puzzling Centaur, 7 years agoHides comments that i haven't blocked for some reason.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13441720, 7 years agoGreat and very helpful extension. It saves my life.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Jimmy Kudo, 7 years agoWorks great, like the description says you can chose how you block by video, channel or keywords. No more annoying "recommended for you" from certain channels that youtube pushes because they are partners.
I had this on Firefox and had to clear plugins so I'm going back and gathering up all the plugins I used previously.
I just had to get this one again.
Edit: Because of the people in the comments saying it doesn't work anymore I just checked it on youtube as of the date of writing this, November 18, 2017 I can confirm on my PC Video Blocker STILL works. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13454935, 7 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13435897, 7 years agoStill freezes the browser when you click on a blacklisted video. I'm sorry but If i deliberately clicked on a video I'm pretty sure I want to watch it, I should not be punished if I want to watch that one interesting video on an otherwise useless channel
